How to Record Over 100 Beasties
2025-01-08
There are over 100 beasties in Beastieball, and each one has their own voice and emotion. It was an incredible challenge because we had to make sure they all have a distinct personality, match the animal they are based off of, the type of pose, and that they all sound unique. To make this even more challenging, Em, Greg and Alexis decided that they would be recorded almost entirely through voice acting! Take a look at this video to find out how this was achieved, and to have a listen to some pretty funny examples.
10 Years of A Shell in the Pit
2024-12-02
We've officially been around for 10 whole years! A Shell in the Pit has always been about the people behind the games. From the very beginning, led by the example and dedication of Gordon McGladdery, we grew by fostering meaningful relationships with our indie game community in Vancouver and around the world, and putting a lot of love into our work. We are so grateful to be able to make it to this milestone with all these people who we value so much, both on our team, and those we have made games with for so long! We're proud to be able to be a sustainable safe haven in a rather turbulent industry, and will continue to share our knowledge, and contribute to our community with a positive voice for many years to come. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us get to where we are today. <3
